DIRECTORS BIO
The Administrator of Adventures in Education is Elaine Sneider.
Elaine has been educating children for over 48 years including her own two children which she homeschooled for 5 years. She graduated with honors from Owens Community College with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
She has served in the capacity of Preschool Administrator and Teacher, Enrichment Teacher, Children’s Fellowship State Coordinator (in Indiana), and Voice and Piano Teacher. Elaine has instructed classes and camps for The Toledo Zoo, The 577 Foundation, Bedford Community Education, Maumee Valley Country Day, St. Rose Catholic School, and many other educational establishments. Elaine has also volunteered as a Cub Scout Leader, Big Sister, a 4-H Advisor and with Ohio Reads. She has taken courses in CPR, First Aid, and Prevention of Communicable Diseases.
Elaine was a member of Holland-Springfield Chamber of Commerce from 1998-2012, she served on the Membership Committee for one year. She has been a member of Toledo Area Piano Teachers Association for over 30 years and was program chairman for two years. Elaine is also a Lifetime Member of Waterville Playshop, has performed in five Waterville productions and was Waterville’s Assistant Director for CHARLOTTE’S WEB. She also performed in four Grand Rapids shows.
She has directed over 120 shows including The Little Mermaid, Peter Pan, and The Jungle Book. As the Drama Director for Springfield Middle School, she directed An Evening of Drama, Groovy, Miracle on 34th Street, HONK! Jr., Back to the Future, and King Artie and the Knights of the Rad Table. She also directs a Children’s Theatre Program in Maumee, Ohio, and is the Drama Director for St. Joan of Arc.
Elaine currently teaches private piano and voice lessons in her Maumee, Ohio home and online and will be starting to offer her summer camps, classes and children’s theatre programs start in June 2021!
